Salt Lake City, UT – GlobalSim, Inc. is pleased to announce that the OCHA training facility in Antwerp Belgium, has recently contracted with GlobalSim to replace one of their aging simulators with a new GlobalSim Full Mission System.
GlobalSim first contracted with OCHA in 2002 and has since provided six simulators to the organization. The OCHA training center is among the largest in Europe – it provides crane training and other services to workers in the Port of Antwerp and elsewhere. The new simulator will provide training for STS Cranes, Straddle Carrier, and Mobile Harbor Crane.
Ann Baats, OCHA’s Training Manager remarks “We are so excited to have agreed on this new project – I am amazed at how focused GlobalSim has been to provide the very best solution for our training program.”
The new crane simulator is the GlobalSim 5th Generation Full Mission system and features the latest technologies to teach real-world crane operational skills. Basic and advanced training tools are incorporated into the simulator system including a scenario editor, student database, industrial controls, advanced physics modeling, and 4K visuals. The system will be a significant upgrade from the previous simulator which was delivered in 2010.“
We’re happy to deliver them our latest product” exclaimed Brad Ball, GlobalSim’s VP of Sales and Marketing. “We have a long term partnership with OCHA – it’s a privilege to be a technology provider to the OCHA facility which is clearly one of the best training centers in all of Europe – if not the entire world.”
OCHA’s new simulator is expected to be delivered and ready to use by Q4 of 2018.
