GlobalSim is pleased to introduce, the Roll-On Roll-Off (RoRo) Simulator which has been developed over the last year in a collaborative effort with various different organizations that conduct RoRo operations. The company launched their new software model with enhanced features including the implementation of virtual reality functionality. The RoRo system is configured to safely train students to drive wheeled cargo on and off a ship on their own wheels. The simulator includes a curriculum that introduces safety procedures, docker hand signals, and driving techniques necessary to work in a team environment.“Our software engineers have worked to ensure the graphics, physical characteristics, and curriculum match what is seen in typical RoRo operations” says Brad Ball, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GlobalSim. “Training centers can switch between a VR headset or displays and still experience the same quality of training” said Ball.Instructors are also able to score and review a student’s performance during or after an exercise.GlobalSim has installed several RoRo desktop simulators in Europe and looks forward to working with prospective clients who have already inquired about the new system.
