GlobalSim to Supply Port of Felixstowe with Full Mission Training Simulator

Salt Lake City, UT – GlobalSim, Inc. announces today that it has contracted with Port of Felixstowe to provide a crane simulator. The companies formalized an agreement in November 2019 for the training simulator to be built and delivered to Felixstowe in mid-2020.

“The Full Mission system we are developing for Port of Felixstowe is our latest generation system and we’re confident it will be the most technologically advanced simulator for port cranes in all of the UK” remarked Brad Ball, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GlobalSim.

GlobalSim will deliver virtual STS, RMG, and RTG models in a Full Mission Simulator with seven (7) large panel 4k displays and a proprietary 3 DOF motion base. The system will feature customizations designed to accommodate the specific equipment and training needs at the Port of Felixstowe.

The system will include a feature-rich instructor station, which will incorporate a student database and a scenario editor to allow the instructor to provide interactive training. As part of the agreement, GlobalSim will be servicing and maintaining the simulator for multiple years.

The simulator is currently being developed at GlobalSim’s headquarters in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Once completed, the system will undergo testing before being installed at the Port of Felixstowe in early 2020.
