GlobalSim to Provide Crane Simulators to the Philippines

Salt Lake City, UT – GlobalSim, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has recently contracted with the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) to provide two (2) Portable Crane Training Simulators to train student operators in the LPU Maritime Training Center. The simulators will both feature Ship-to-Shore (STS) and Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) Crane models. Based on the same software as GlobalSim’s premium Full Mission simulators, the portable systems have only the essential buttons and switches. Each system includes two laptop computers and a projector for displaying the exercises to the student operators. In addition, basic crane exercises are included. “There are many schools for mariners in the Philippines. These crane simulators allow LPU to offer better training for port workers as well as seamen,” explains Brad Ball, GlobalSim’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We are grateful for the work done by our agent, Mastech. They have a reputation for understanding the market and providing great customer support.” Mastech also sells and supports ship bridge and other simulators to the maritime market in the Philippines. The simulators are currently being manufactured at GlobalSim’s headquarters in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The systems will be delivered later this year.
